Bumi Cushion for Cranial Deformities

The BUMI Pillow was developed with the purpose of preventing and correcting cranial deformities (plagiocephaly, brachycephaly and scaphocephaly) during the first months of a baby's life.

The BUMI Cushion was developed with the purpose of preventing and correcting cranial deformities that are produced by constant external pressure on the skull and can appear during pregnancy and/or during the crossing of the birth canal. They can also appear during the first year of life, especially in the first 4 months, and one of the main causes results from the positioning of the head during this period.

The central cavity of the BUMI Pillow maximizes the support surface , reducing and evenly distributing the pressure exerted on the baby's head in the supine position (belly up).

With an anatomical configuration, it adapts to the shape of the baby's head and allows freedom of movement and rotation of the head, strengthening the neck muscles and favoring the recovery of its rounded shape.

The combination of these characteristics guarantees adequate positioning of the body, facilitating breathing and helping the baby to sleep better.

Supplied with a carrying bag for greater protection , the BUMI Cushion is made from Softfeel polyurethane foam that distributes the weight evenly across the entire surface.

Its outer cover, removable and washable, is made from breathable 3D fabric, which promotes air circulation and allows the baby to breathe, giving it anti-suffocating characteristics. This fabric contains an extremely thin, waterproof, breathable and extensible film inside, which prevents liquids from penetrating the foam. With antibacterial and anti-mite treatment, it guarantees hygienic protection of the fabric in direct contact with the skin. This treatment is resistant to washing, preventing the proliferation of bacteria and the formation of odors, maintaining freshness over time.

The BUMI pillow does not prevent SMLS (Sudden Death Syndrome).

This product is a long-term non-invasive medical device, belonging to Class I, reusable, non-sterile, which can be used continuously for a period exceeding 30 days.

Indications

- For prevention, use the BUMI Pillow from birth, with the baby in the supine position;

- In the case of correction, consult a specialist and use the BUMI Pillow as a complementary measure to the recommended treatment, with the baby in the supine position.

Instructions for Use

- Wash the cover before first use;

- Place the baby's head face up (supine position);

- Position the baby's head centered in the cavity, aligning the shoulders with the straight part of the BUMI Pillow.

Cleaning Instructions

- To clean the BUMI Cushion, remove the cover and air the foam or wipe with a damp cloth if it is dirty.

- The cover must be cleaned in accordance with the washing instructions contained on the label included inside.

- Do not expose the BUMI Cushion foam directly to the sun.

It is recommended, however, to periodically ventilate the product to avoid moisture retention.
